FOREVER 21 METRO READER SHOPPER NIGHT

After another super long day at work, I rushed off to the Forever 21 Metro Reader Shopper Night that I RSVP-ed to a few days ago.
Arriving just before 7pm, I joined the queue outside (which thankfully wasn't too long) to get my wristband so that I could go down to the 'invitation-only' section.

I must have been one of the first 300 attendees to arrive as I received a free little goodie bag upon arrival - nothing majorly exciting inside but still pretty cute.

There were special guest DJs playing music throughout the evening, some short Fashion Editor Style Sessions, a Nail Bar, and a drinks bar serving mocktails.

I really wanted to get my nails done but the queues were too long so I spent my time leisurely walking round the 3 levels of clothes and accessories - slowly filling up my shopper bag!
The store was really warm inside but I made a couple of trips back to the bar to keep hydrated - how very convenient ha x

I also filled in a card with the hope of winning a £210 Forever 21 gift card - though I haven't had a call so I guess it just wasn't my lucky night!

At the end of my 1 1/2 hours in Forever 21, I bagged myself several bargain items - and with the additional 15% discount off I couldn't be happier!
Solo shopping is so relaxing.

Anyways, it's time for bed now.

One more day til the weekend x

WEEKEND SUMMARY: SHOPPING, SALSA & COMPTOIR LIBANAIS

It's the end of the weekend, which calls for a new post!
I've been wrapping up warm in my comfy sweaters that I have been stocking up on...here's one of my latest ones from Forever 21.

SO comfy, I could wear it all day...and night!
Chunky knits aren't always the most body-flattering outfits, but they're so warm and comfy in the winter sometimes I don't even care. Also a good option to hide some 'extra bits' gained during the Christmas season!
Had also been hunting for some new black boots and bagged a half-price bargain at  Debenhams.

(Almost) all set for the winter season.

Had an interesting salsa dance session yesterday - having had some dance experience in the past it was obviously easy for me to pick up, and the instructor, Alastair, kept us motivated and amused throughout the session.
Though I do think I'm going to need to polish up the man a bit more with some practice at home!
Ready to take it to the next level next weekend x

Tired and hungry after a long day (with my aching feet dying to get out of my shoes), we had dinner at Comptoir Libanais.

This was my second visit there and I think I ordered the exact same dishes as before, with the exception of the drinks...
It has a sweet and pleasant atmosphere inside, with lovely colourful interior decorations.
Service was quite fast and food tasted pretty good.
Unfortunately there's not much meat options on the menu, and I think the man, being a man, would have preferred a good 'ol greasy burger instead!
I think I had second thoughts after as well...but I suppose there's always next time!

I should really start searching for some fitness classes soon before it's too late!
So many things to do, but so little time...
Anyone in London looking for a workout buddy? Give me a buzz x

SUN'S OUT!

When the sun comes out, the girls go out to play!
Spent a lovely day out in London with my lovely girl Kellie.
We had a Narnia themed afternoon tea at Park Terrace Lounge in Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington.

The waiters were very efficient and attentive and gave a thorough explanation for every dish served. My concentration wasn't very focused as I eyed the dishes and just thought - FOOD! Yum!
I tried the chocolate truffle tea which had a really lovely aroma.

The whole meal was surprisingly very filling, I loved the different varieties of little sandwiches and the yummy buttery scones! I did wish there was a stronger Narnia feel to it - a bit disappointed by the lone tiny Aslan Apple & Lemon Slice which seemed to be the only thing related to the theme. Overall the ambience was nice with a pianist playing soothing music in the background. Service was efficient and food satisfying.

Moving onto fashion, this was my outfit today!

Wearing my lovely Mango jacket (mentioned in my earlier post) that I wrestled away from the grubby arms of other women! And my bright orange shorts from Forever21 and GEOX shoes that seemed to blend in with my legs!

We both also tried riding one of those trishaw things where Kellie haggled with the guy for our 6 pound ride - he cycled a bit like a maniac swerving around through traffic! I'm pretty sure we weren't insured for that ride as I held on tightly to the sides and my shopping!

And to end my day with a smile, yes I decided to join the queue of girls to take a free photo...

Who doesn't love a man with an amazing body?!
Sweet dreams x

ANOTHER DAY OFF = MORE COFFEE & SHOPPING

As predicted by BBC Weather (which sometimes lies), the weather today was lovely, exactly what spring should look like. Ditching my dreary clothes, I rummaged for something more vibrant and picked my bright yellow Forever 21 dress to get into the mood.

My bedroom looks a bit like a warzone at the moment as I started packing away most of my clothes - years of shopping have resulted in a rather unhealthy heap of clothes, some with the price tags still attached (oops).
I've also started building up my (not-so) mini pile of clothes which I have labeled as the 'eBay pile' - basically stuff that I'm planning to try auctioning off on eBay. I don't think I'm going to manage to get through the whole pile before I leave, so I may try looking into the car boot sale option later on!

Dropped off a couple of winter coats at Johnsons Cleaners to get them de-germed before I pack them away during the summer months. I was a bit hesitant to leave my lovely Vivienne Westwood coat in the hands of a stranger - they better hand her back to me in pristine condition!

Good times together :)

Being off work is obviously not doing my credit card any good. As all my shopping ventures seldom end with me empty-handed, I bought a pair of GEOX casual comfort shoes - the shoe that breathes! I think mum would be pleased with my decision as she was nagging about me not wearing 'practical shoes' last time. And I only paid a fraction of the original price for it at one of my favourite shopping outlets which you all should know by now ;)
I have really broad feet and wearing my numerous pairs of cheap New Look pumps aren't really doing them any good, so it's important to invest in good quality shoes.
While heading to the cashdesk, I got distracted (as usual) by the dress aisle and picked up a slinky black Michael Kors dress - tried it on and as predicted my credit card got another beating. My excuse: a potential wedding dinner dress? x

Essential tan leather shoes for summer

I popped back into La Bottega Milanese for a quick coffee before I headed back home, this is probably going to be one of my favourite spots in the very short time I have left in Leeds. Today I tried the cappuccino, usually priced at 1.95 but because it was happy hour it was only 1.25 (woohoo!).

I also packed home a 'Rum baba' which I wanted to try the other day - a yeast cake soaked in rum which also had some nutella filling.

Random food bargain blurb: Yogurt lovers, if you think 2 for 3.00 pounds is a good offer, Rachel's Organic Yogurts are only a pound each at Morrisons!

Yummy

Ok, fun-time over, I better get off and practise my violin before Iveta kills me!

If only I looked this enthusiastic all the time!
