DAY TRIP: CITY OF CAMBRIDGE

This weekend Mike and I drove to Cambridge for a quick day trip to make most of the sunny (but rather chilly) weather. Being such a pedestrian-ized city, we spent almost half an hour circling the city looking for parking!

I really wanted to try punting along the river so we booked in with one of the many students advertising their services - we got a bargain of 20 pounds for both of us 'students'!
Though we did have to wait a couple of hours so we just wandered round the centre and stopped for coffee at a cafe.

It's such a pretty city with lots of greenery and quaint little shops...I'll let the pictures do most of the talking x

It was getting quite nippy towards the evening so we headed home to get warm and fill our hungry tummies. 

Note: parking is really expensive in the city - it's no wonder so many people ride bicycles.

Shame Sunday was a bit of a rubbish day with all the rain.

I've got my warm jumpers and brolly ready to brave the cold wet weather!
