It's finally Christmas!
The first time in 7 years since I last celebrated Christmas with my parents, who I am lucky enough to have visiting us in England this year!
It has also been a while since I last came up to Newcastle since moving down south to London.

The day started off pretty sunny with blue skies, hence we decided to have lunch at the Fish Quay.

We popped into one of the local shops to buy some ingredients for the evening's steamboat and Christmas Day dinner...

We had lunch at The Waterfront - one of the popular places that serve proper fish & chips.
The fact that there is always a queue says it all.

For our Christmas Eve meal, we celebrated Asian style - HOT POT!
Perfect especially when it's so wet and cold outside.

And finally for dessert, flourless Olive Oil Chocolate Cake made by Earn Hui.

A day of gluttonous eating...and that's not even Christmas Day yet.

Today we'll be having a more traditional Christmas dinner - time to get my tummy geared up for more eating!

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Drink (and EAT) Responsibly!
